“Well-Groomed Appearance always gives Good Impression!”
How do you think of your appearance influences your image? Honestly, appearance is one of the really important factor in the business situation. Why? Because it is said that people judge other people with appearance mostly. Keeping your appearance tidy is one of the essential element that decided your image how you work and how you manage yourself.
There are 4 main elements make your looking good;
① Clothes
Always checking your clothes whether there are some dusts on and washing your clothes properly. And also choosing clothes those fits your size because it might make you image careless and sloppy when you wear over-size clothes.
② Shoes
As you might not know, people look other’s shoes often. Choose the shoes that fits your feet size and keep clean them. And also it is better to choose shoes that is appropriate design for situation (wrong example: casual sandals when you visit client office).
③ Hair
As much as face get attention most, so does your hair. Especially in the business scene, you’d better to check your hair style whether is good enough in your office image or not. Check your hair length, color and style. If you have inappropriate hair color or style which is not good for your company/office, then you’d better to change as soon as you notice. Inappropriate hair might give bad first impression. In addition to that, there are some people who have dandruff in their hair or on their shoulder. It is worse. Check every time when you leave home and wash your hair carefully. It can be prevented in advance.
④ Smell
Smells also give good/bad impression to others, especially mouth smell. Wash your mouth after you had meals or smoked and check your mouth smell. If you have a little time to clean your mouth, use mouth-wash or take mint tablets. It helps you a lot. People feel uncomfortable when other people smells bad. This is kind of the polite manner for others.
These four are just main elements what you at lease have to take care, however there are more elements you can think of your looking (such as make-up, beard, body odor and nails). It doesn’t mean that you have to be always too formal, but being appropriate appearance which suit for your office and situation. Being well-prepared always helps you when you meet anyone anytime.
